The World-Famous Sand Nativity: A Masterpiece
The undisputed highlight of the Christmas season in Jesolo is the renowned sand nativity (Presepe di Sabbia). An international event that grew out of a local initiative in 2002, it has captivated thousands of visitors from Italy and beyond ever since. Each year, international master sculptors craft an entirely new scene of remarkable expressive power. The 2025 edition is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi honoring the 800th anniversary of the first nativity scene. The delicate sculptures convey his timeless message of peace and brotherhood. The exhibition is housed, as always, in a large covered structure in the heart of the city.

For the first time in 2025, a true-to-scale, tactile reproduction of the sand nativity will be available, an important offering for blind and visually impaired guests. It will be complemented by an audio guide that deepens the experience and underscores Jesolo's commitment to being an inclusive, accessible destination for everyone.
