Dear friends of Italy,
Italy conjures images of breathtaking landscapes, the sound of the sea, gentle rolling hills and unforgettable sunsets. Yet as beautiful as life can be, in the rush of daily routine we often forget to take a moment for ourselves. And yet it takes so little: a minute of stillness, a conscious breath or a brief pause can be enough to restore one's sense of calm and energy.
That is precisely the invitation extended once again by our guest author Dr. Christoph Glumm with a new episode of his much-loved "Atempause" series. Take this small moment of respite, let the thoughts settle for a while and enjoy the video. We wish all our readers a wonderful summer, perhaps even at a spot in Italy that conveys exactly this feeling of serenity.
The last time
The last time. When is the last time? We live as though there will always be a next time: one more conversation, one more evening, one more shared laugh...
And so we put off words, gestures and affection until later. Yet none of us knows when a moment will be the last: the final meal together, the last smile in the hallway, the last "See you soon" that is never followed by a reunion.
Every time could be a last time. Therein lies the preciousness of the moment. And that is precisely why every time is a singular, unrepeatable gift.
Say what needs to be said. Hold on to what is dear.
Life does not wait.
It flows.
