Who is behind Vivere in Italien?
Vivere in Italien is more than a magazine: it is the story of two people who turned their passion for Italy into their profession. Behind the German-language online magazine are Bastian Glumm and Svitlana Glumm, a married couple who do not merely describe the dream of living in Italy but live it themselves.
Bastian Glumm, journalist and media maker
Bastian Glumm, born in Solingen in 1976, has worked in journalism since 2001. During professional stints in local journalism and at a specialist publishing house in Düsseldorf, the trained publishing clerk gained wide experience in editing, film cutting, photography and moving image. In 2016 he founded SolingenMagazin, which he built up and ran successfully for more than ten years. Today his focus is on high-quality digital content, SEO strategy and building durable media projects. As founder and publisher of Vivere in Italien he develops the magazine steadily.
Svitlana Glumm, journalist and author
Svitlana Glumm was born in 1979 in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine. She studied history and ethnology, qualifying as a teacher at the Pedagogical University of Kropyvnytskyi, and also studied journalism at the Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv. She worked as a print journalist in Ukraine and later as a teacher of Ukrainian and English in Kyiv and Warsaw. The author has lived in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, since 2022. Today she is founder and publisher of vivereinitalien.de and works as an AI creator.
The next step: from Solingen to Campania
In autumn 2026 the two will leave Solingen and move to Pozzuoli in Campania, right on the Gulf of Naples. From there they will report on Vivere in Italien no longer from afar but from the middle of Italian everyday life. The perspective changes: from the dream to daily life.
