On the coast of Calabria, directly on the long sandy beach of Villapiana, the German hotel group Maritim will open the Maritim Resort Calabria on April 1, 2025, featuring 324 rooms and suites across three floors, in a magnificent setting surrounded by olive groves and picturesque nature. The 5-star resort was previously operated as Club Aldiana and offers the highest level of comfort in an exclusive environment.
All-inclusive concept with entertainment program
"As a Maritim Resort, we are retaining the all-inclusive concept with a comprehensive sports and daytime entertainment program, a kids' club for various age groups, and evening shows. High service quality, outstanding gastronomy, and warm hospitality are the central elements for us," explains Peter Wennel, Managing Director of HMS Hotel Management Services International GmbH. HMS, as part of the Maritim Group, is driving the international expansion of the hotel chain. "Guests can look forward to a wide range of sports such as tennis, water sports, golf, cycling, and fitness programs. In addition, families as well as couples and solo travelers can enjoy two restaurants with spacious terrace areas and authentic Calabrian cuisine made from regional products," Wennel adds. Evening entertainment is provided by three bars, an indoor theater with an LED wall, and the resort's own discothèque.
93,000 square meters and three swimming pools
Spread across approximately 93,000 square meters, the luxurious resort features three swimming pools: a heated semi-Olympic pool, a lagoon pool, and a children's pool. For sporting activities , there are seven sand tennis courts, a multi-purpose court for basketball and volleyball, a soccer field, a bocce court, a bicycle station, an archery range, and a 325-square-meter indoor fitness area. A highlight for water sports enthusiasts is the Nautical Center, which includes three catamarans and a dozen Optimist sailboats, among other equipment. The resort's 4,000-square-meter wellness center invites guests to unwind, featuring a Turkish bath, three saunas, an ice cabin, a hydromassage pool with relaxation area, massage and treatment cabins, as well as an exclusive spa suite with a hydromassage whirlpool, sauna, relaxation loungers, and a hammam area.
