With this internal award, Delta annually recognizes teams at airports that achieve top marks across various performance areas, including safety, on-time performance, and baggage handling. Both domestic and international stations are evaluated, divided into categories based on passenger volume and the number of flights operated by Delta.
Prevailing over renowned competitors
Naples prevailed over distinguished competitors such as London Gatwick, Stockholm Arlanda, and Copenhagen. The Italian station achieved the highest overall score in its category, earning the distinction of best Delta station worldwide.
Expanded flight offerings for Summer 2025
Alongside the award, Delta Air Lines is announcing an expansion of its summer schedule from Naples. In addition to the already established route to New York JFK, which resumes daily service starting May 8, the airline is also adding a new route to Atlanta.
First flight to Atlanta on May 24
The first flight to the US metropolis, home to the world's busiest airport, departs on May 24, 2025. Four weekly connections are planned. These routes give passengers not only direct access to two major US cities, but also convenient connecting options to numerous additional destinations across North America, the Caribbean, and beyond, thanks to Delta's extensive network at both hubs.
