In the Bay of San Francesco, on the western coast of Ischia, lies the Hotel Terme Tritone Resort & Spa – a property that has been consistently dedicated to relaxation and stylish retreat for more than five decades. Just a few steps from its own private sandy beach and nestled within a well-maintained Mediterranean garden, it brings together comfort, tradition, and the therapeutic properties of Ischia's thermal springs.

Hotel Tritone: Family-Run Since 1970

The hotel was founded in 1970 by Lino Masucci and has remained a family business ever since. It is now managed by his descendants, who have continuously expanded and modernized the property over the decades while preserving its original character. This family-oriented approach is reflected above all in the personal attention guests receive, something that long-time visitors have come to appreciate year after year.

The Tritone offers around 170 rooms, including classic double rooms, Superior rooms with sea views, and bungalows set in tranquil garden surroundings. The rooms are designed in a Mediterranean style, featuring traditional majolica tiles, bright colors, and terraces or balconies. Some accommodations offer direct sea views, while others are located in the peaceful garden areas.

Thermal Springs and Spa

A central feature of the hotel is its extensive thermal and wellness complex with eight pools, five outdoors and three indoors. The offerings are complemented by a Kneipp circuit, sauna, steam bath, hammam, whirlpools, and a spa with massages, fango treatments, and cosmetic applications. The thermal water is drawn from natural springs in the surrounding area.

In the elegant restaurant "Laura's" guests enjoy refined Mediterranean cuisine under the direction of an experienced maître d'. The menus are based on local produce, including freshly caught fish, island-grown vegetables, and Campanian wines. An antipasti buffet is offered daily, while mornings feature a "Chef's Corner" with fresh egg dishes and pancakes for a perfect start to the day.

The G&G Restaurant in the garden area offers a more relaxed alternative with light lunch dishes served directly by the pools, accessible even in swimwear.

Beach, Garden, and Location: Live Music in the Evenings

In the evenings, the outdoor terrace transforms into a stage for sophisticated live music. Musicians perform daily, playing jazz, acoustic sets, or classic Italian music, accompanied by cocktails from the Il Mosaicobar. These musical evenings are a regular part of the hotel's program and are popular with returning guests and first-time visitors alike.

The private sandy beach is located directly in front of the hotel and is reserved exclusively for guests. The gardens extend across several terraced levels, with Mediterranean vegetation, secluded retreats, and views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The gardens of La Mortella, the center of Forio, and several hiking trails are all easily reachable on foot.

A stay at the Hotel Terme Tritone Resort & Spa lasted only a week, but it felt like a precious little pocket outside of time. Rarely does one encounter a hotel that combines so many facets of quality, tranquility, and genuine hospitality. From the first morning coffee with a view of the sea to the last notes of the evening's live music on the terrace, every moment felt considered, atmospheric, and unhurried. It is a place one not only remembers fondly, but feels compelled to return to. A clear recommendation for anyone planning a summer vacation in Italy.
