Methodology
This is how the results of the Vivere in Italien Award 2027 come about. We publish the procedure so that anyone can follow how decisions are made.
Nomination
Until 31 January 2027 readers nominate businesses, and businesses register themselves. The editorial team also nominates businesses it has written about. The editorial team does not nominate businesses whose article was a paid advertisement. Every nomination is confirmed by email and checked by the editorial team.
Reader vote
From 1 February to 31 March 2027 the readers vote. Each person has one vote per category, and every vote is confirmed by email. Votes from automated processes or votes cast more than once do not count.
Jury
The jury consists of the editorial team of Vivere in Italien and three external members. In April 2027 it assesses the ten best-placed entries of the reader vote in each category.
Scoring
The reader vote and the jury each count for half. Together they determine the ranking of the ten finalists in each category.
Awards
Places 1 to 3 in each category receive the title “Winner”. All ten finalists in a category receive the title “Recommended by Vivere in Italien 2027”. We announce the results in May 2027.
Independence
Nomination, taking part and voting are free. Nobody can buy a nomination, a placing or a win. Booking an advertisement, a seal or a portrait with us gives no advantage. Paid portraits of winners are labelled as advertising.
